Dr. Taylor made history as the first woman to serve as Chief Resident in Emergency Medicine at Los Angeles County King/Drew Medical Center.
She is the founder of the Artemis Medical Society, an organization created to support, elevate, and increase the visibility of women physicians of color.
Her work and advocacy helped inspire Disney Junior to name a character after her in the animated series Doc McStuffins.
Dr. Taylor also served in various community-facing roles including as Chair of Project Cradle Care for Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., where she led national initiatives focused on maternal health, infant health, education, and community engagement. Additionally, she served as Regional Our Health Matters Chairwoman for Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated.

Dr. Taylor is a co-owner of Wellness IV Saloon, a Texas-based IV nutraceutical therapy clinic offering physician-directed therapies designed to support energy, recovery, cognition, immune function, metabolic health, and physical performance.

Education, Family, and Legacy
Beyond medicine, Dr. Taylor is a wife, homeschooling mother, and educational strategist. Her children have followed highly accelerated academic paths. Her eldest became the youngest American woman to graduate from SMU Dedman School of Law at age 19. Her son earned an MBA and is a doctoral candidate in Learning Technologies at 21 years old. Her youngest graduated with her Master of Science at age 18 years old in Public Administration and Emergency Management.
